Arrive & Check In

  • Show up early, check in at the front desk, and complete any waivers if needed.
  • Pay the weekly $15 court fee via the site’s online payment platform.
  • Courts may be full until start time — keep warmups short so play can finish by 10 PM.

Set Up the Match

  • Introduce yourselves and confirm the “home” team can point out restrooms and bottle fillers.
  • Find the scoresheets and write full player names in the Player A/B/C/D spots.
  • For each game, determine Serve, End, Receive and remember to switch ends at 6.

Play, Record, Keep Moving

  • Record scores after each game and double-check the winner and points.
  • Games are to 11, win by 2. Each team gets one 1-minute timeout per game.
  • Bring only water to the court area; eat/drink other items in common areas.
  • Keep play moving between rounds until all rounds are complete or it is 10 PM.

Timebox the Finish

  • If a tiebreaker is needed, aim to start by 9:45 PM.
  • At 10 PM, all games must stop (unless tied — play a sudden-death point). The current score determines the winner.
  • Captains: enter all scores within 24 hours. Clean up and leave promptly at 10 PM.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about joining and playing in the USPA League

USPA is a group of independent pickleball club owners in the Greater Indianapolis area building a standardized, team-based league format for Indiana.

To introduce structured, competitive league pickleball in the Greater Indianapolis area — and to grow it over time.

To bring a standardized team-based league format where teams can represent clubs over a season, alongside existing tournament play.

Founding clubs include: 3rd Shot, Dink House, Go West, Indianapolis Pickleball Club East (IPC East), Indianapolis Pickleball Club South (IPC South), and Pickle on Penn (POP).

Register as a free agent and we’ll try to place you on a team based on division needs, skill level, and (when applicable) gender balance. Placement is not guaranteed.

Anyone can register — regardless of home club membership. You may register for a club team or be considered for an “at large” team.

USPA will host skill-based leagues and, when applicable, gender/mixed divisions depending on demand. The mini season currently focuses on 3.5 and 4.0 Coed divisions.

Registration is $25 for the mini season. Each match night, players pay a $15 court fee to the host site for the 2-hour session.

Mini season: 4 weeks. Upcoming seasons will typically run 8 weeks (subject to scheduling and demand).

Each match night features two team matchups with at least 6 games. All games are to 11, win by 2, within a ~2-hour window (typically 8–10 PM).

For full seasons, USPA intends to report scores to DUPR where applicable. Details will be communicated before each season starts.

For the mini season, we expect most players to register for one division due to limited team capacity. If space allows, double-division play may be possible — please contact the League Director.

Not typically. However, the League Director may move a player based on necessity to maintain fair competition and division balance.

Bring your own paddle and non-marking court shoes. Official league balls are provided at match nights.
